Nevadans?

Anyone looking for a Speckled Sussex rooster? Had to give mine up, crowing and I live in a community, and only have 6 hens. I gave him to one stop ranch and feed on Glendale. He is super sweet. Sorry to have to give him up. He is a beauty!

Rounds out my basket really nicely! Very excited. And the CochinX has darkened up a little bit. The OEs all look a lot closer to laying than the BWAs.
It will be interesting to see if you get different shades of green eggs from your OEs. The BWAs always take longer to lay than the other breeds. August 16th my 2 GCM pullets will be 4 months old. They are the ones out of the darkest eggs. I am real anxious to see if they lay as dark of an egg as they hatched from.

My husband might be coming around about building me a new chicken house

What size is your new chicken barn? I have staked out a 10 x 20 ft area. Might need to be bigger?

He's looks good, I would love to try this breed but my project is keeping me busy and full. Sorry you couldn't keep him.

Las Vegas here, I am over run with a couple critters and moving soon, so would like to re-home a bantam silky mix roo and a drake rouen. Roo is about 5, drake is about 2. Free to good homes, or else I can probably take them to Gilcrease.

I have been putting this off, but I am giving away my whole flock. My dogs got some of my baby chicks (ok, ONE DOG ate a BUNCH of baby chicks) and I don't have the heart or cash to make a brand new awesome coop, when we will be moving before next summer into our own home, and GONE for two months this winter for work. :-(

Available for rehoming:
Two Delaware crossed Easter Eggers: they lay small pink eggs like clockwork. They are best feather friends and should go together, but are molting and have NO back feathers right now. THEY ARE LAYING DESPITE THE MOLTING, but might need seclusion to grow back those feathers. If you take them I will throw in chicken sweaters for them, my Roo picks them off so they can't wear them now.

Brown Ameraucauna: She is an escape artist, but lays perfect blue eggs. Loves treats and being hand fed.

Two Ameraucauna hatchery girls: One GORGEOUS golden Wheaten color, and the other a beautiful Soft Blue Wheaten. They are a pair and will lay in one-two months. (Ameraucanas are later layers, at 6-8 months old)

One EXTREMELY SMART Barred Rock: she is sharp as a tack, and we call her Mama Hen because she is definitely the top coop dweller. She frequently is more in charge than our Roo. She lays small brown eggs reliably, and keeps herself very clean. She also seems to molt less frequently than the Ameraucanas.

And Mr. Pretty Boy: he is my only Roo, and is an Ameraucana splash color? (I'm not sure what to describe his coloring). He takes good care of his girls, but is rather opinionated. Not people-aggressive, but also NOT DOG AGGRESSIVE. They have been raised with our pitbull mix dogs and he doesn't consider them a threat until they are in attack mode.

I am asking $10 for each of the hens, but Pretty Boy is free to a good home.

Please text 949-422-9069 if you are interested, I have pics of everybody on my phone.

Thanks! It was hard, but they found him a good home so hopefully he will be happy with his new girls. Love the speckled Sussex. They are great birds, very sweet!

Two of each
Buffs
EEs
Leghorns
RIRs
Barred Rocks

The RIRs and Barred. Rocks. I just got two days ago they are a week old.. Got them to add two more colors to my flock

Good choices. All good layers. RIRs can be feisty, but can't beat almost daily laying. Barred Rocks and Orps are super smart and social. Leghorns and EEs go through a flighty stage until they are a few months old. They do calm down though and now our Leghorn is one of my families favs. We started out with a mix too, but now have a few projects going with specific breeds/colors. Chickens are addicting!!
