Don't give up just yet - I had one hatch on day 25! I had really given up - on day 23 I stopped monitoring the bator, but left it plugged in. There was no water when I opened it on day 25 and only 3 eggs. But I candled each egg before tossing and saw one with a beak in the air cell. Filled up the water and she hatched within 8 hrs.

I had better hatches in my cardboard box incubators. I got a new thermostat though that holds temps in 10ths of a degree instead of several degrees and I found the new flex tape heat sheets I had been hunting for so the next hatch should go much more smoothly.

How about your hatch? Did you lose them all to that terrible spike you had?

None of the Wellies have hatched. I have 1 BM, 2FBCMs, ! Mottled Java and 1 Barney. No pips. I just locked down 8 bantam Wellies. I reall need my Wellies to hatch. I'm having a really hacr time with those.

BTW if anyone would like some chicks I have some Cuckoo Marans, bantam Wellies and a couple of Silkie x AM chicks. I'm running out of room for the breeds I want to keep and I'm building up the FBCMs and trying to build up the Wellies and bantam Wellies, so I have some extras along the way. Long list though for my Bev Davis FBCMs and my flock is older, so I'm hatching all the darkest eggs and I'll build my new flock up first. Then I'll have lots of those to sell.

What I have listed available though I would give to someone wanted to start their flock.

LOL, Ok! I'll wait until friday to give up then. The bator is finally holding steady at 99 but I've had to turn the thermostat to 105 to get that temp! Stupid thermostat. Ignore the fact that I recommended this thermostat early on. I now know it stinks!
