So far it's a square with a gable roof!

I'm working on how to layout the inside. I want to have the ability to divide in two if I have 2 different ages in there so that makes it complicated to figure out the placement of everything. soon i'll have a few different layouts to ponder and then I can post them and see what you think.

Looking forward to Saturday! We don't have a dog otherwise I'd bring it for you. I don't think our cat is interested in going to a picnic.

We put a bumpout off the back of our coop for younger birds. It can be divided in two as well since I always seem to have several different ages at a time.

The large brooder in the garage handles birds that are still feathering out completely.

We don't have a good spot for a brooder yet. Our garage is horrendously hot--not sure if that would be a good place to raise chicks. I suppose they do need it to be hot but I'm not sure about our garage. is your garage usually a comfortable temperature for humans?

Yea it's always more temperate than outside anyway. Never had them out there except spring though. I have no idea how warm the garage in the new place is.

Hi Everybody

. I'm in Rancho Haven (about 30 miles north of Reno). I have a mixed flock of 15 hens (Silver Laced Wyandottes, Black Australorps, Buff Orpingtons, 1 Barred Rock and a bunch of Silky Crosses). I want to get away from the mixed flock and get Marans instead. I purchased 14 Marans hatching eggs to put under my many broody hens but only 1 hatched and then died at 3 days old

. Does anyone in the Reno area have any Marans that they would be willing to sell? Or would anyone be willing to hatch some Marans eggs in thier incubator? Also, does anyone want a free White Silky Rooster?

Jen
