Those goats are soooo cute, Aubrey! I'm sure they will get used to you. They're probably still a little traumatized from their move.

Hey Sunny are you done moving?

House beautifying is completely done! I will post a pic when I can get one with the lighting right. i really need a cloudy day maybe. materials for our coop will be delivered on friday. let's just say it involved a home depot credit card with an 18-month interest free offer

I included a little extra to make a playhouse for the kids. But the coop is first in line. We will be posting various things for sale on craigslist soon to raise funds to pay off the coop! anyone want an xbox system (original version) with games?

chicks are coming in about 2 weeks. now i have to figure out a brooder. i'm thinking really large plastic storage box and putting some hardware cloth on the top. our garage is still really hot so we may have to have them in the front hall or my office for a few weeks. we'll see how the temps are.

Ok, I have had a really productive work day. I finally finished a task I've been procrastinating on for 2 weeks. relief!

About the schooling discussion, I think it's a good idea to take some time off if one is burnt out. I think college students who are a little older do tend to be more focused. You want to really get a benefit from the schooling and if you're not ready, you won't get that. I taught one class at TMCC back in 2004 and there were so many students that weren't ready to be there. it was appalling. That being said, i always enjoyed school and I have endured many years of schooling! I have a Ph.D. I didn't get burned out until the last few years of grad school. And now I only want to learn fun things! Like how to raise chickens!

Have a good one!

I never get tired of learning new things either. I did get tired of eating ramen noodles 5 nights a week though! Can't even look at them now! That was college life for me.

I do enjoy learning, but not so much with the schooling. Its an odd paradox.

I like discovering stuff out on my own.

Sunny, my mom was registered and taking classes, but she needed more money and quit so she could work overtime. She was at some Career College, but they werent a great school. I'll tell her about TMCC, I think thats what I might do. I love UNR but it's too expensive. And youre moving??!
