I agree with Tyler. There is no such thing as too many photos.

Thanks on the turkeys!

You didn't charge me for him or the other roo, just Poppy and the two girls. Those two were "bonus" chicks! Anyway Sunny W. wants him - she really likes his looks and he has a great temperament. That may be because he is very near the bottom of the pecking order in my flock though!

The other guy is starting to look very handsome - he may even turn out better looking than Poppy! So for now I'm hanging on to him.

Sheryl I do think that getting more chickens is helpful. When you only have a few you get really attached to them. When you have 100s you can't get quite as attached. At least that's my theory and I'm ready to put it to the test!

You know, for the sake of scientific research.

That'll work right Genny?... Genny?... Oh that's right she's out playing with her 100s of chickens.

Omg sunny, hahahaha

Okay here's some farm photos people!!!

This is the new hen I got from genny that I've been wanting for a long time. Her name is olive and she's molting now but when her new feathers grow in she will be stunning!

Good enough????

So I guess I need hundreds of chickens then and I'll be cured? I don't think my DH would appreciate that one bit! He's always asking me now how many are you getting next year and I say 2 more and he keeps saying good. He says you can get another 2 after next year and then he says now how long do they live again? I say oh not much more than 4 years usually and he says good. So I think since everything is good right now I better not chance it with more than 2 more next year and don't forget he's getting his ducks too now and that story is funny too! He says now why are we getting a drake and a female and I say because you want babies and he says good. Now how much room do they need and I say hardly any at all they are not like chickens you know. So what'll happen when if I end up with tons of ducks and tons of chickens in what is becoming my little backyard?

sounds like he's right on track to become your enabler! Maybe you guys will have to move to the country. I was surprised how on board Jose was. He's the reason I didn't wait until spring. he eats eggs every day for breakfast so maybe that's why he's been so gung ho on getting chickens..

i have gotten not much of anything done today. my mom and I did get the kids clothes sorted out. we took out the too small stuff and got down the fall/winter stuff. then i made baked ziti for lunch and now i'm going to start tackling the roof rafters. trying to figure out how to get the right angle. that's making my head hurt. I don't think geometry was my favorite type of math. Ok, i have procrastinated enough. I'm going to start sawing the wood.
