I'm not really into the resolution thing either but since hubby's last tests didn't come back as pristine as mine did we are going to be eating a LOT more fiber!

I really wish I could get him to lay off the transfats but I do believe to each his own so I don't push real hard.

I'm remembering my good friend Viola who told me I fried a tortilla like a white girl!

she showed me the correct technique and I never make a taco without saying "hi" to her. She left us way too soon.

What a sweet thought! I lost a dear friend that taught me a lot about mexican cooking too. All of us called her "Mama Grijalva". I never did figure out how to make tortillas like hers but she still praised me, even when my tortillas were shaped like the state of Texas.

I think of her every time I'm cooking one of her dishes.
