I received an email from Territorial Seed today about grafted gardens. Have any of you heard about this? Do you have any direct experience with it?

Territorial is wonderful for their plants, but it sounds expensive. I'm planting a couple hundred seedlings this year... $8 per seedling would be fine if I wanted oh... five of them?

Or, for $3, you could buy 30 seeds, and give them the soil, space, and attention necessary to grow good root systems. It's more of a gamble, but a lot cheaper IMO.

Congrats on all the eggs everyone!

Rural chick I use wooden eggs and they work great to teach the pullets where to lay. I used to use plastic eggs but they kept kicking them out of the nest. If you leave real eggs in longer they will likely freeze this time of year plus they get filthy.

Kim that was Deb that hatched the mud encrusted egg successfully but good luck with the hatch!

I couldn't get the pic to load Missy but I'll try later.
