Nevadans?

That could be so many things but being the carnivore I am I'll say any animal we skin then throw the bones away. And it better not be eggs cause the yolk is my favorite part.

The other things that pop up in my brain are any fruit/veggie we cook like corn or baked apples with a core we toss.

Hello,
I just recently started my flock and have come to the realization that I'm but a drop in the hat when it comes to the amount of people raising chickens in the Elko County area. After searching all of our feed stores I'm finding the feed selection is pretty dismal when it comes to spoiling my girls. I was hoping there are interested chicken herders interested in possibly going in on a bulk order from Modesto Milling. They have a wide variety of products and with enough people we could order frequently enough to keep it fresh. They have products for far more than chickens also. Last time I contacted them they told me it was 125 buckaroos to ship a pallet and that they could fit a ton on a pallet. If i could find enough interested peoples it might be economical enough to pursue. If I do get enough replies I will post the price list. All we need is a ton.

Thanks Lacy greens feed has it so ill pick some up tonight. Just rub it on his face then?
Here's the info I was speaking of...

Henry Fitchner, Judge, American Bantam Association; Past President, New York State Bantam Association says this:

"I had a Lady Amherst cock pheasant in a heavy moult, with head swollen and both eyes shut. I had to hand feed him. I applied VetRx over his head with a cloth and rubbed the discharge from his eyes. I swabbed his throat with VetRx. I treated him twice daily, and by the third day he could see and eat. On the fifth day he was returned to his coop, in full health. The medication did not harm or discolor his feathers."

Edited to add that the VetRx will not hurt his eyes so you don't have to worry about getting it in the eyes. In fact, it will probably help a lot.

I would possibly be interested in this. Does it matter what you put on the pallet? I don't want any lay pellets unless they have organic non GMO and its affordable. I use whole grains.

Just need a ton. We could(dreaming others will be interested) mix and match. I would like too also feed whole grains and could purchase much more if I feed whole grains. I understand after the grinding that a lot of nutrients are lost do to oxidation. I don't quite feel experienced enough yet too. They have all organic everything. Almost. I was looking at there no corn/no soybean organic pellet.

I don't grind my grains, I ferment them. Saves a lot of money and you have healthier birds to boot!

Okay. What meant is I wouldn't grind them either. I know you lose quite a bit of nutrition by cracking the grain and letting it be exposed to air. That is why people grind fresh with a holey moley it is expensive grinder or feed whole grains becuase that is what chickens have been eating for thousands of years. I'm not knowledgeable enough in poultry nutrition yet and stick to pellets or crumbles to safeguard my flock from my ignorance. It is only since I am new and want to work into recipes that I have seen for whole grain feeds. Minus the grinding. I have been reading a lot of the fermenting feeds especially with the meat birds.
