My hatch is starting! I have one serama pip (hatching serama and dutch for Julie. I only have one SSPR left of 3 because my cochin decided those where the eggs she wanted to break

. I can't really blame her it is a small box for a SQ cochin.

How are you doing? Those broodies with chicks are so much fun! I love watching them with their chicks

I have two broody bantams right now and I'm trying to decide what eggs I want to put under them. Decisions, decisions . .

Hi Candy,

I'm doing very well, still some issues here and there but overall good. I go to the specialist Monday to see what the next step is.

I'm so thankful I kept Amanda she's a wonderful mommy. She tried to teach the chicks to jump up to the tree stump today, only one tried and she landed right on top of Amanda. I think Amanda decided to try again another day. It looks like she's trying to get them to her favorite sleeping spot in the coop/run but they need to be able to jump up there to do it.

Sorry about the eggs. They seem to break those here too. Sounds like you need to make another trip to your grandmothers house.

We have a marans that just hatched out 6 Wyandotte/Delaware chicks. So cute!

One of my Andalusian hens has gone broody too and I think she is sitting on about 20 eggs! I'm going to have to figure out what I want to put under her and toss the bunch she has.

Sorry about the eggs. They seem to break those here too. Sounds like you need to make another trip to your grandmothers house.

I lost two eggs guess I need another flat to try again lol!
