Just got in a car accident Centerville and 88. Not bad, just a glancing blow. Almost centre punched the other guy when he didn't stop at the stop sign!

Gotta be careful on holidays! Hwy 50 was closed both directions earlier for a multi-vehicle pileup. My nephew was coming from Carson City for a BBQ and they had to go up to Reno and come back down through Virginia City to get here.

Wasn't pile up. Two small cars. Head on. Sad. Didn't look good at all. Took about an hour to get up Carson hill.

I hope no one's having problems related to the Carpenter One. Most of you are way up north, though. The fire is thirty miles from here, I can see flames at night.

No, but we have our own big fire up here. the Bison fire. It is in the Pine Nut mountains just east of Minden and Gardnerville. The smoke was so thick today that I could no longer see the sun, and it was affecting channels on my satellite dish. LAst I heard it was 7,000 acres but that was last night and I'm sure it is more by now.

ETA: just saw on the National Interagency Fire Center website that it is now 9,300 acres.
