Your sister gives you the long form? My sister still calls me "Kiddo" and so does my Dad but I don't get the long form of my name anymore from anyone.

Yeah, the long form only comes out in dire circumstances and in my household it was just Mom that doled it out in that dangerous tone of voice and she extenuated the syllables so the long form seemed extra lengthy. On the other hand, there was Dad. Dear Ol' Dad could never keep us kids straight and so it was "Hey you!" or "Not you. The other you." If that wasn't vague enough, this was usually followed by the request "Could you get me that thing over there?" with no reference to what thing or where there was...

(As an aside... I must've been a pretty good kid because when I was enrolled in the 1st Grade I had NO idea who "Andrea Louise" was. My first day was quite confusing until they figured out -- after a trip to the principal's office and a phone call to Mom -- what moniker I actually went by. )

the girls' run collapsed! poor things are okay but i am severely mad! markie told me he cleaned off the tarp last night but it looks like he only did what he could reach instead of doing the whole thing. I tried to tell him that youre supposed to hit it from underneith and project all the snow off...thats how i get it done and it all comes off. guess im trudging it out with the staple gun today.

We got 8 inches last night, so when out trudging around this morning it was mid-calf on me (and some of you know what a TALL tall person I am

) so about a foot/fifteen inches in non-drift areas.

Just at Green's Feed - they will have chicks on March 4th!! I am starting to get impatient waiting on mine, Sunny! I have a gal at work who just bought a dozen eggs and wants 2 more dozen!!! I need more hens! I finally broke it to dh that I was getting 10 chickies and will keep 4. He looked at me and then down to the ground and quietly said, "No more than 10, please!?" I said OK...(this year!)

Well, I couldn't resist.

Went to "Chick Days" at S&W Feeds. Here's what I ended up with:

Lunchtime - they must have been hungry from the ride home!

I'll have to do some thinking on my nickname - I'll let you know!

We didn't get near as much snow out here as you all. No more than 3 inches. And it is melting rapidly. The (big) girls already have their run cleared.
