Awesome! I was planning to go to the State Tree Nursery in Washoe Valley tomorrow. I think I'll drop in just to see what the poultry swap is all about. Where is the feed store?

It's on that main road that's off of 395. I forget the name of it though. The swap only goes from 10-2 though!

Oh, looks like it's on Eastlake Bl., 3235 in case anyone else is interested. The tree nursery is on that road, too, but farther north towards Reno. It opens at 8:30, though I don't plan to be there that early!

That's my 4-H club. They adopted me in because there is no Club in Fernley. I have a rabbit show in Carson so I can't be there

Sure thing! If I remember correctly they had barred rock roos last year but not pullets, I'll send an e-mail to the lady who's doing the swap and request one!

Thanks Aubrey - I get off at 7pm tonight so just let me know what happens and how much I owe you too.

I called the guy who took my roo to see how he's doing and he said he's doing great and his daughter loves him. They were surprised how friendly he is and it's their favorite one. I can't wait to visit him and bring him his favorite treat - polenta!

RON! it was soooooo nice meeting you yesterday!!!! i love meeting my fellow chicken peeps.

ugh, what a nightmare this move is! I am so worried about these darn chickens. I have no clue what i am going to do with them once we get to the other house. They will be able to free range during the day which is nice but during the night i dont know how i am gonna protect em from raccoons. The coop that we have here is built into the house, so it cant come with us.

we built this one for the showgirls a few months ago

so they should be good to go.

I had a guy e-mail me that lives in boise and he said he can build a 12 chicken coop AND deliver it for $900. im thinking GREAT DEAL! i can use my deposit money from this house when we move out to pay for it! only problem is that we move out on the 12th and this guy will be in reno on the 10th

just my luck!

so im talking to him about maybe doing a 6 hen coop for half the price. I have 7 large hens right now, but i think one more would be okay, right?

anyways...i hope this works itself out. i will lock these girls in the GARAGE if i have to until they have a safe coop!
