I thought I would show some of the rest of the flock as well.

Hello Lacey, I am still around just not as often as I used to. Missed ya though.

As for Seramas in Reno. They do just fine. I kept heat lamps on mine through the first winter but not sure they needed it. I would still do it through the coldest period of the winter but that only lasts a few weeks at most. Otherwise they tolerate cold very well. Also make sure they are sheltered from the wind. It think the wind would cause frost bite faster than just plain old cold. Our Seramas kept laying eggs right through the winter. We built a cage to bring them indoors, again not necessary except maybe in the very worst weather. a coop with a heat lamp would do.

Best of luck with your move.

Coop progress has been stalled by my full time working mom life this week! over the weekend i got the plywood floor laid down and I cut the studs for framing the front wall. I will be able to get more done this weekend although Soren has his first soccer game Saturday morning and Jose has a game Sunday afternoon.

I started doing CrossFit this week with a beginner's class at the UNR gym. it meets 3 times a week for the month of September. I really like it. the trainer is really great but it is hard work! I have been walking funny all week from the soreness. My husband has been doing CrossFit since last November. He is excited that I'm starting. I'm wondering when my legs will feel normal again! Me walking down stairs this week =

She hatched out eight. I gave one to a cochin we found that's been setting on unfertile eggs. This is the best pic Ive got of them all. The seventh is the white one hiding behind Yoshi.
