Aubrey I love the way the house looks. Didn't paint it the same colors as the rest of the block but they certainly weren't shocking colors! I liked it! I thought maybe it would match your pink hair from Halloween, like your avatar.
Are you two all done or is there more to go? I noticed the driveway looks the same. I know you didn't like that either but I thought it was a nice change from the average boring driveways I'm used to. You could always take a concrete saw and cut out the grapes and pour cement (halfway up) then set polished stones in where the grapes were (cement or mortar will hold the stones better than concrete). That's what we were going to do but never got around to it.
Sheryl, I agree with your DH. Good to take responsibilty for your flock yourselves. Although I think every dog owner needs to be responsible as well it will be your heartache if something goes wrong. Sounds like an excellent plan the two of you have. I'm sure it will work out well. If you have a lot of contact with the neighbor that training Genny spoke of would be a great idea.
Lacey I don't know for sure if I am going to try meaties or not yet but if I do I'd love some of your pure Cornish. I remember having them as a kid and they sure were tasty. Smaller than what we get nowadays but worth it!
I am also bouncing around the idea of getting Brown Corturnix (sp?) Quail sometime in the future. They are bigger than the quail I'm used to and I hear they are very tasty! Just can't commit to any new projects quite yet.
Elizabeth you guys sure are making progress! I thought you were the designer on this project but it sounds like you are tackling most of the building of it by yourself as well! Glad your babies are doing well! Hope you head etc, feels better by tomorrow!
Thank you for the pics. It looks great!
