Hi Sheryl! Hey did you get those T-shirts for the Poultry show ordered yet? You probably told us already but I have the worst memory. Did you get my request I sent you for 2 shirts? Just trying to stay on top of my "to do list".

Thank you for the reminder Sunny. Tons going on and I finally got it ordered. It's great because the shipping turned out to be $2.00 a piece so I'm happy with that, it's better than if we each ordered and paid $8.00 a piece. I also messaged Terrie to find out if she was going to get any brown tees in large and have it here on time for you so hopefully she will have it so you don't need to take it apart and put it back together again.

Cool! Thanks Sheryl.

Lacey, That's North Valleys right? My youngest son played for North Valleys for 3 years. They have never been the strongest team but they won their share of games. We used to love working the concession stand. They make killer burgers there and I liked working the grill.

Still trying to learn names and interests better...but whoever was the Raiders fan, I'm sorry for the loss of Al Davis. I've always loved to hate the Raiders (being a 49er fan) but I hope they can pull off a win today.... "just win, baby"!

Kinda hard to say because our hometown, Jeff Maehl is on Houston....

don't tell anyone from my town.....

I was so sad to hear about Al Davis yesterday! I always loved his style with the Raiders. I hope they win today too, right now they are down by 2 points and it's half time.

Boy I hate not having TV service right now!

Just checked the scores online and the Raiders did win! Most of the team members were in tears once the game ended though. Makes for a bittersweet victory. I'm sure they wish Al could have seen them win.

Hi, I've been busy working on the coop all weekend.
Lacey, sorry about your japanese.

We got the coop roof shingled . Just the ridge shingles are left. We ran out of light and energy so we'll try to do those tomorrow morning. The shingling went well. Putting on the fascia and whatever the other boards around the perimeter of the roof are called, was somewhat difficult and looks rather crappy. However, the appearance improved with the drip edge and then the shingles. There is a place at the gable in the front where I think I will need to put a sign of some sort to cover our poor craftsmanship! Oh well. The somewhat crooked roof is well-shingled and will keep the coop dry. Looks like the weather should be good this week to get more done!

It's my fault. I will never ever use my Dutch for showmanship again!
Speaking of shows does anyone need a copy of the Show book for the Poultry show next month?

Mornin all, Took a while to get caught up on posts. Got to meet another member face to face last week.
As usual I have way to many irons in the fire.

Doing some remodeling of my sons bedroom, Building a bee hive, Finishing up gardening stuff, Making some items for an online gardening group. and trying to build a practice version of a Rocket Mass Heater (wood stove). And that is what I am doing with my "Spare" time.

For the Heater I need to find a 30 gallon open end Metal drum. If anyone knows of a place in town that I can find them I would appreciate it. So far all I have found is online and shipping would be big on one of them. I want to see if they work. IF so they could be a great way to heat things like a barn shop maybe even a patio. Some people use them to heat cob houses but you have to be pretty will off the path for that one. They are supposed to be a low cost, high labor, high efficiency wood burner that stores the heat for a couple of days. I want to see for myself how much is just claims and how much is actual heat. They claim the exhaust has little or no smoke and all you get out the chimney is steam and co2. I have seen several videos that show very little smoke at all. I am hoping to build one fore less than $100 and will let you all know the results.
