oookay, so the babies are showing obvious signs of mass roosterdom. Here is the count on the ones that already have red combs.
2 barred rocks
1 sultan
1 blue polish
1 red polish
1 wcb polish
1 frizzle
(and maybe the splash, cant tell 100% yet)
so thats maybe 8 out of 12 and its only week 2

Oh no Tyler! That is horrible. I'm so sorry!!! *huge hugs* BTW you are right Steve tried to fight the pull of BYC ages ago and has given up all hope of ever getting me away from it. So now he just reads over my shoulder and laughs at everything the same as I do.

the barred rocks are very very barred. and their combs are HUGE! Maybe ill go take some thnxgiving pics for y'all. yeah, thats what ill do since im already done with my share of cooking
did you ever find a pool for your ducks? i went to wally world today to get a new brooder for the babes and they laughed me out of the store....

Okay if you BR's are barred already and they look almost white then yes they are roosters. Pullets are all black with no white on them, they may have a white dot on the top of their heads but other than that there should not have been any white anywhere.

lol yes i know that, not to mention these babies are not down anymore, they are feathered. and if that did not make their roosterism obvious enough, when i say they have GIANT combs i mean it! however, with hatchery barred rocks, they all are all black with white dots on their heads, the main difference being that a pullets spot will be very pinpoint, round and small while a cockeralls spot will be scattered and not completely round. barred rocks are easy, i love it.
