Nevadans?

I'd love to join the Easter hatch, BUT I need somebody to take the chicks as I cannot keep them.

Any Nevadans interested in that? Pick your breeds and I'll see what I can do.... Otherwise it ain't happening.

I'm still not getting notifications on the thread. I am, however, seeing lots of WCP roo pics.

Been swamped with work lately and trying to hook my elderly mom up with a rescue dog long distance.... Found one that fits all her needs and they're in their trial period right now, so keeping fingers crossed that it all goes well as dogs that fit the bill are hard to come by.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!

(It's also my wedding anniversary today.... Made sure it was on a date that DH wouldn't forget)

OOH! OOH! I want some but I already have 50 chicks coming my way. I split an order with my mother she's not too key on the chicks I think she just wants our rooster Billy. I can just see her putting a diaper on him and making him live in the house with her.

Had the whole thing redo today. The first splint was too tight. The plaster was pressing on a nerve and it really felt like a second break. Hurts like heck right now. Oh and I was able to see the bruising today.MAN!!
No wonder it hurts so bad. I think the bruises hurt worse than the break at this point.

OUCH!!!

Hahaha, With what I have and what's still coming, I think I've finally got enough!

Another area Steve and I are backwards on. He remembered today was Valentines day and I forgot. He always reminds me ahead of time that our anniversary is coming up too. I even forgot my own birthday one year! I am terrible with dates if I don't put them in my phone calendar and have an alarm go off to remind me. I still haven't gotten them in the new phone and I'm in the dog house with quite a few folks right now.

Funny story re: anniversary dates

In our first year of marriage we had another couple over for dinner and the subject of "What did you do last Valentine's Day?" came up. The other couple mentioned they went to a spa and then out to dinner. I could see DH's brow kinda furrowed as he was struggling with what he did last year on Feb. 14th. "Well, I'm pretty sure we went out to dinner."

"Here's a hint, Honey. See if it rings a bell: White bouquet? Cake? HONEYMOON?????"

Truth be told, he had such a deer-in-the-headlights expression that day (yep, Planet Bachelor lost their ambassador) that he probably blocked the event out of his mind....

What's even funnier is that Valentine's Day that year we got married was on a Sunday and the courthouse opened specially to do marriages. It was a pretty big deal and we were interviewed on Fox News. When we got to Carmel-by-the-Sea (honeymoon destination) his cell phone was full of messages from people who had seen us. So much for eloping! (And apparently - from what I've been told -my ex saw it, too..... heheheh)

I don't have any particularly funny/touching Valentine's or anniversary stories. But, when Russ and I were engaged, we decided that we would always celebrate our anniversary. No matter how rich/poor we were, what else was going on... it would be celebrated. We're both on our second marriages, and we know we've finally found someone who is worth working out every single problem. So even if it meant just taking the night off of work and sharing a bowl of cereal, it was a reason for celebration.

I know we have varying religions on this page, and I don't mean to bring it up more than this... I have a couple of friends that belong to a religion that doesn't celebrate a lot of holidays. But they celebrate anniversaries. I've seen pictures of my friends' anniversary parties, and they're so beautiful. I love that.

I agree, Missy, It's important to celebrate anniversaries.

Have a great valentine's day, everyone!

LOL!!!!! You're not just saying that to make me feel better?

Nope, hubby and I were sitting and drinking coffee trying to wake up when my daughter skipped in gave her daddy a big hug and a Valentine card. He gave me the "Oh Crap " look he gets when he forgotten something. We've been married for 14 years now and Valentines Day is always messed up or forgotten.
