Nevadans?

so cute, aubrey! There may very well be a GCM roo for you from Missy or me if you end up with a pullet so I'm sure it'll work out fine.

Well, all of mine are a little older--more on the 3 week range although the marans may be a little younger. anyway, they are all pretty much the same size as the 6 I got from Candy before so it works out good. so far they seem to integrating well, probably since they were tired. Most of them are sleeping in a pile together although a couple went up on the roost. I'll have to get some photos tomorrow.

We had a record setting day for eggs. We got 11 today and one was huge. It looks like a double yolker. Our previous record was 8 which we've gotten a couple of days.

Sunny did any of the eggs you took with you hatch from my birds?? I hope so. I just got a pm from the auction I had last month and 22 out of 33 hatched and they were shipped eggs, so she's excited.

My record is still 5, though I know at least 3 of the new ones are laying. I found one on the floor in the coop, which was so absolutely random that I figure it was a first-timer. They are getting plenty of light, so it won't be long before we get at least 6 a day.

My babies are just chilling out, all cozy. Tomorrow Sahara can scrub out her bathroom for the bathroom brooder. Those bigger babies are going to need it soon! Not too long before they can start hanging out in the old coop during a warm day.

I figure, with 48 chickens coming home to Reno, we can manage to make everyone happy.

I told my husband how many we had in the back of Sheryl's truck, and I think I could hear him shaking his head all the way over in Manila.

I'm going to partition a section of my coop for the chicks pretty soon once they're a little more feathered out. Suddenly the chick population has tripled at my house!

Yep! I had a terrible hatch due to that temp spike but considering that, I am thrilled that any hatched! I have 3 little OEs and 1 little EE. They are super healthy! Not sure how that happens other than the strongest survive but these little guys are just perfect! Very friendly too. Judging from combs it looks like I have at least 2 girls (one is right in the middle so we'll see).

any green ones?

Any green what? Green egg layers? Yes.
Oh Seth that chick with the feathered feet is most likely a marans. Looks like you got one of the GCMs.
