Nevadans?

Aubrey, I notice you have a feather duster with your babies. Does it make a big difference in their comfort? Would you recommend that or stuffed animals?

I'll have to depend on everyone else to post chick pics from our Cali trip! The digital camera and ALL of the connection cables are halfway across the world right now, so I couldn't even download them from my camera phone. I can't even email pics from my phone, because T-Mobile upgraded the software and I refuse to pay several hundred dollars to fall into a fad that I just don't need. Maybe when this phone dies, I'll actually upgrade.

2.5 hours until we leave!

I'll bring my camera and take some photos of your chicks when I pick mine up. can't wait! I really do have way too many chicks coming this spring. But with the roo factor, it should be ok.

Awwww so frig-gin cute!!! I can't believe how adorable those little fluffy feet are!!! And I'm glad you post lots of pics! That is too much cuteness to fit into a tiny post!

Thanks for the pics Julie! I can't seem to ever get too much fluffy cuteness!!! Once I get rid of a few roos I may have to talk to you about a couple of Buff Brahmas.

It is really hard to post baby pics that shows off their little naked necks, but believe us they are so dang cute. I have more showgirls in the incubator, and I actually enjoyed the suprise factor that I got with their random colors!!!

Sunny sure, should have plenty of Buff Brahmas, and Big Boy our rooster is sweet boy (but then 99% of brahma roosters are sweet....)

Here is another shot of cute fluffiness:

Baby Mallards(one is crested do you see her?), muscovies and one call duck way back in the corner...I have more calls due tomorrow!

I like the feather duster better than stuffed animals. They love it and it stays cleaner. They love to crawl around under it like a mama hen, And i think they feel safer and comfier. Plus if its under the heat lamp it gets all roasty toasty throughout.

Sunny, the silver coloring makes a ton of sense because i think Petey was sort of silver, eh?

Missy, and sheryl, have lots of fun today. And if there really is a day old gc marans thats the one id like to go with my other babies. ahhhh babies

Seth, that setup is great! Good idea using the rabbit cage and CONGRATS on finally getting started!

That's what I keep saying but I think I just need to admit we are gonna need yet another coop.

so should i get a feather duster on the fence do they like it?

It's optional. Not necessary but I am looking for a couple right now too cause they really do enjoy them! As Aubrey said it helps them to feel secure. You want the old fashioned kind that are not treated with chemicals to attract dust.
