Nevadans?

Yes, purple eggs would be pretty epic. :] I love the color. Kim, if they start laying purple regularly, and you wish to sell, you have a buyer here!! I'm pretty much obsessed with cool egg colors, I've got the green fromm my EEs, the browns and whites, and the speckled from the hatchery Marans. I have some soon-to-be new colors from Candy's Ameracaunas (hoping for blue!!) I'm on the list to invest in some of Sunny's beauties when she sells, and I sooo want to track down that duck breed that lays black eggs.

Just a little color obsessed, lol.
Man, this was one rough weekend, I'm so glad its over. Do any of you ever feel the same?
Sunny, where are you going?

Sheryl, I made your cream puffs recipe, but gluten-free. They didn't puff up nearly as high, and had to be baked in muffin tins. But the kids are really enjoying them, and they weren't too difficult.

Cayugas.

I'm getting a pair with my Ideal order... don't know how good quality they are, but the eggs will be cool.

I used to bug my husband for Cayugas all the time. Just no room for the mess right now. My SIL wanted ducks and I talked him into them, but my daughter threatened him and we got kicked to the curb. LOL

If I did it right the pinkish eggs next to the lavender one should produce lav layers. We'll see. If I get this to work I'll need a couple of partners. Don't want to take a chance of losing any and not having backups.

I am so glad everyone likes their babies

Both Kirstie and my chicks hatched on either Tuesday the 6th or Wednesday the 7th. I am pretty sure from your picture that your lavender is from my hatch. Kirstie's chicks were a bit bigger. The BLRW should be a beauty and I am almost positive it is a pullet. I have hatched a lot of the BLRW chicks and I can pretty much tell at hatch (when wet) by the width of the comb what sex they are. The lavenders are not always friendly as chicks (usually the girls) but will get very friendly as they mature. Hope they both end up being pullets

Funny to hear you everyone worrying about getting roosters, when I kept 3 rooster chicks on purpose. I plan on adding another line of W/BWs and will need another rooster. I have been accused of being an extreme rooster lover. They are just SO beautiful!

Here are the three candidates~ Lightest of the 3 is a splash wheaten.

Great pics Seth! What does your family think about your new little babies.

I know, Lacey looks completely different than my last BLRW who was also named Lacey but John said he really wanted a Lacey and why can't we have another named that? I can't wait to see how she/he turns out. It seems to be a she though, she really loves to cuddle.

I see 2 lines on Amanda's comb and she/he doesn't like to cuddle a lot which totally reminds me of my last Lacey who was the same way. I'm hoping we can keep it no matter what. John said we shall see so that's better than the NO last year.

Sunny, John is becoming another Steve now, he's falling in love with the chickies and knows what ones he want.

Kim, I just showed John your Lavern and he fell in love with her. John said she will be perfect if Amanda is a girl.

Wow Missy, I guess we were off a bit. I had a great time going to Grass Valley yesterday. I couldn't have asked for better company. It was a great girls day. My MIL says we need to get back to the bakery and buy 4 dozens of those buns.

Candy, thank you for the chickies. We love them very much. We never thought we would day little ones again but here we are. Do you know what day the little pullet hatched? And if there is a chance on what day the Ameracuana hatched? I'm thinking the 2nd question is going to be the hardest.

Aubrey, it looks like your feather duster is a huge hit here. If you want to come over next week to hold a duckling you are more than welcome to.
