Nevadans?

Ok, I will separate her. Can I give her a tiny bit of our sublingual b12 vitamin? I will go and get some dry kelp, I think I have some 7 grain cereal, I will grind it some more. Maybe I should make a mush.

If you feel you need to separate her to make sure she gets enough food, you could separate her with several other chicks. I had a chick with a vitamin deficiency last time and put her with 2 other smaller chicks and gave her infant polyvisol (without iron). she recovered in a few days.

How much do you give of the polyvisol?

Hope she gets better!

What a windy day! The girls are all locked up tight in the coop! Before it even got this bad, the wind was making them really flighty, so they went inside... even though they thought they knew better than me. But they can have a nice, clean coop tonight, thanks to someone's attitude that it's ok to lie to her mom about stuff. And because another one thinks it's ok to fight at school, the soil in my garden is going to get turned too.

Sounds like my style of parenting... amazing what gets done when the kids do not behave appropriately! Nice to have a clean coop! My garden soil is turned because my 17 DS wanted money for his girlfriends birthday! YEAH for me.

I hope she improves also!

Give her a drop or 2 in her mouth every day, I think. You could also search the forum for polyvisol and see what comes up. Later I put several drops in the water every day.

Mine have been in and out. When it calms down, they come back out.

glad you're getting some benefit from misbehavior. I'm sure it will be a good lesson.

Oh, and anyone interested in a W/BW Ameraucana 3-week old+ cockerel? I'm not sure if it's wheaten or blue wheaten. I'm sure Candy can tell but I'm no expert on this breed by any means.

Brooder furniture now includes a feather duster AND 3 8oz ramekins... the mini-souffle kind. I put in one ramekin of grit for them, and they like sleeping in it so much that now there are 2 more with sawdust. I don't know if it's the enclosed environment or how the ceramic absorbs the heat.
