Nevadans?

I keep thinking of all the wind power I'm not generating on days like this!

Someday...

Sorry to hear your son is not feeling well Elizabeth. Hope he gets well soon!

I've always wondered about all that "Windy City" guff. It's hard to imagine somewhere that is windier than here!

Actually originally Chicago got it's name because of it's shady politicians. Anybody that loves to read has probably read about that part of Chicago's infamous history. The politicians were known throughout the country as being so full of hot air that they started calling it the windy city and because it is also pretty windy there at times the name stuck.

Hi everyone,

Sorry about the post last night. I definitly wasn't trying to stir the pot or anything. I just like to help. To much sometimes.

I can't wait to see some of you at the swap on Saturday. I should be there from 10 until noonish. You can't miss us. you've already seen pics of my husband and oldest son and I'll probably be chasing my 2 year old. He has a very large reddish purple birthmark on his cheek.

News on the farmers market front:
there is already a market here, but they are looking for a new place to host it. The local community chest runs it. If everyone is agreeable I think I will offer to let them join us and then we won't need new permits. The county has already given me permission to use their existing permits.

that's cool! I know Shaun Griffin who runs community chest since I have worked with his wife Debby for years. We aren't currently working on any projects together but she used to be co-director at my center and we occasionally work on projects still.

Oh no Mandy! You didn't do anything wrong! We knew you were just being helpful! I'm so sorry if I made you feel like you did! I was probably grumpy cause my back was hurting.

That is awesome news about the city letting you just transfer the permits over! Have we figured out how much it would cost? That was the problem before. There just wasn't enough profit potential to offset the fees of running a booth.

That's stirring the pot??? That's more like shifting it to the side so the water moves around a bit.

It sounds like this farmer's market thing is getting easier and easier for you!

With the pre-existing farmer's market to back it up, it sounds like they will help pay some costs to make it happen. But yeah, that's a huge thing keeping me from selling my soaps on a larger scale. The cost of a booth is too prohibitive, even at places like Earth Day.

Now that I am back from my whirl wind trip to Florida I hope to collect enough eggs to start your Wheaten x Buff order next week Sunny

While I was gone my friend accidently let one of my buff laced bantam Polish roosters in with the Polish girls. I was waiting until I got home to introduce him since all 3 of the boys were being too aggressive. Luckily it turned out just fine and actually he ended up doing me a favor, because now I might have fertile eggs to hatch Polish chicks soon

Awesome! I can't wait! We already have a polish breeder on this thread but quality ameraucanas are hard to find in this part of Nevada.
