I think Leroy would meet his match in a coon! Those things are vicious!

The probiotic I had mentioned to Sheryl from Dr. Nautra is enteric coated to survive the trip through your stomach acid (another feature the more expensive Align doesn't have!) and release in your colon where you need it. I was on powerful antibiotics when I was taking it and it still worked. So despite my greatest efforts, I do have a sinus infection. I decided to go to urgent care yesterday while the kids were at soccer practice with jose. I hate taking antibiotics but when it hangs on for a month, I just have to give in. Now my gut will be a mess again. Did some research and there is a specific probiotic to take that can survive antibiotics and help reduce the gut symptoms that come from taking antibiotics. Have to see if I can find some.
I think one of you need to get me a Goose for Christmas. If its a gift then it would be rude to not accept it, right?!?

AHHHH! You were not around yet when I had my raccoon drama last year! Oh man it was crazy. FOUR gigantic coons got into my showgirl pen. Our showgirl rooster Petey took them ALL ON. I don't know what he did but when we heard the commotion we got up and ran outside in time to see the dog chasing two giant raccoons up the telephone pole (where he kept them until the sun came up) and we saw the other two jumps the fence. The two up the pole had Petey and dropped him. I just can't say what really happened but there were four coins for certain and we only lost one showgirl that night so now I never underestimate a good roo. If anything by the time he had gotten the coins out of the coop he was able to create so much fuss and noise fighting them that he woke us from dead sleep. Oh Petey. Took us a few months to get him back to tip top shape but he survived and was SOOOO FEISTY after that!
Awww, shucks,thanks Sunny!
OK, I added the tree nursery, the two feed stores from Seth, and the Livestock Center. I changed the feed stores to yellow pins, green for the tree nursery (and any other gardening supplies you all come up with), blue for miscellaneous like Twin Cities, and red for the NNPFA show. Time for the rest of you to step up, people! If you submit something, add a review, too. Like that one feed store Missy's hens got sick from. We need to do the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly!![]()
I don't think it's your ADHD so much as the site - I've had that happen to me before, too, wherre I don't see a post that was before mine until after (sometimes a while after) I've posted. Even though the other post says it was 10 minutes before mine.
LOL on the URLs!![]()
A bantam hu? That might explain it. My kiddos used to have oegb which they would let run around on occasion. Well, one of the big roosters from the other end of the property used to come down to where they were. The kids would put one of their oegbs on the ground and it would go after this big rooster. It was so funny to watch because they are so quick the big ole rooster didn't stand a chance!
The little guy would jump over him, then run under him and attack him from all sides before he could get turned around to figure out where that little bugger was NOW!![]()
Sent him on his way every time!

So, I guess I can believe that a bantam might be able to get away from them.
We used to have the world's best Black Star rooster. His name was Colonel. He watched over and took the best care of his hens. He would play with my son who was only about 8 or 9 years old at the time. My son would chase him around trying to catch him so he could hold him for a little bit. Well, Colonel would stay just out of reach and my son would continue after him. Then Colonel let him get a little too close and he was caught! But he never raised a hackle or dropped a wing at any of us. He would fight off hawks from his girls but one evening he met his match in a bobcat. That dastardly critter took him out but he didn't get to eat him because we discovered the intrusion as he was carrying Colonel away. He dropped him so he could jump up into a tree to get away from us. He saved all of his girls though.
