Wow Aubrey, I can't believe it was last year when you showed your chicken for the first time. Some big changes in the last year! You're almost an old married lady!
Wish I was close enough to go and wear a matching shirt....![]()
yay! No show entries this year?Ive still got my shirt so i will be wearing it. Hopefully without massive sweaty pits this time. Im gonna try to avoid the heater system as much as i possibly can. But this year I wont be so antsy, so hopefully that will help! haha! BTW this will be my third year in a row going to the show! That pleases me greatly![]()
Road trip! Road trip! Road trip!Wish I was close enough to go and wear a matching shirt....![]()
LOL! I doubt you could ever be like that! Not in your nature.Don't you feel a little bad for people who are so miserable in their lives that they have to make rude comments about a new person, just because of where they're from? If I ever get that blind, please let me know, so I can work on myself again.![]()
Hi Rural Chic!
I'll be wearing my shirt. Tyler lives in Fernley, or did last I heard but Seth doesn't live there.Welcome! There are several of members who live in Fernley too. Tyler and Seth. Hopefully they'll be on here soon to say hi!
I can't go on there right now but I'm interested.
I can't picture you ever being blind of any sorts, except when you can't sleep because you're dreaming of food to prepare. Oh my gosh girl, it just might be time to get out of the kitchen before you start cooking in your sleep.
Is everyone planing on wearing their BYC t-shirts if you still have them for next month's show? Sunny, I can't do a table myself this year at all because of my work schedule. If I can take the day off though I will but Saturday's are very busy there. Let's hope because I love making a full day there.
Haha! Yea I think that's why I said the southwest instead of admitting I was born in Orange County. We did travel back and forth between AZ and SoCal a lot cause my Dad was an evangelist but I can't really claim to be from there. Feels like it though since we spent so much time in AZ and all our family lived there. I have more memories from there than SoCal.I actually think its kind of weird to get any gruff about that. In my circle, at least, it seems that there is this big bay area, Portland, Reno circle that people tend to spend their lives traveling upon.
I did get a good amount of gruff for being from LA though...
Ugh! This brought back bad memories for me. When our last dogs were still puppies they got into snail bait and had to be rushed to the animal hospital. It was Sunday evening and the Vet's office was closed. They were shaking all over before we realized something had happened. The kids had left the gate to the garden open and didn't tell us. Even though they saw the dogs in there. They didn't think about the bait and we never knew the dogs had been in that area.Well, we just got back from a vet trip. I was getting ready for a client when I noticed a cup sitting in the middle of the floor... that, last night, had been crammed way behind a heavy chair, with mouse bait in it. Russ was at work, but I asked him on Yahoo Messenger what to do, and he said to rush the dogs to the vet. Tater was the most likely victim, so I rushed her to the vet and had vomiting induced. Nothing. So I came home and grabbed Oh'no and took her to the vet. About the time she had vomiting induced, Russ came into the vet office. He had speed-biked 5 miles to get there. Anyway, Oh'no didn't vomit anything up either. But I KNOW one of those dogs ate the mouse bait. Luckily, most mouse baits don't have strychnine anymore... it's a substance that inhibits blood coagulation. So they're both going to be taking Vitamin K for 3 weeks, then have their livers tested. There were only about 10 pellets originally in the cup... not that much. When we got home, we scoured the backyard for any signs that they had thrown up, but didn't even find a slime spot. We were worried that maybe one had eaten the poison, thrown it up, and the chickens had eaten it. But no indications, and no chickens are acting weird. So it looks like everyone will be fine, except for the bank account. It's now $212 lighter.
Yeah that's me too. I can't sit there all day. My back was screaming at me after a couple hours last year but I really enjoyed sitting with everyone while I could. It was a lot of fun! So where should we meet up and at what time? There aren't really great places there for sitting and relaxing. No snack bar or anything. Should we meet at a restaurant near there? That way we can do the show then sit and chat for a bit. Anyone else up for that? Steve and I love that kind of thing.Oh, I hope the dogs are okay! That sucks about the vet bill though. Vet bills always seem to be more than I expect. With my aging cat I've started to put aside money every month to save up for future vet visits.
We ordered shirts last year. several of us have the "my pet makes me breakfast" one that's sold on byc. sheryl did the order for all of us but of course, anyone that wanted to get shirts could just order themselves from the byc store.
I don't have the energy for an official table sit this year but I would love to have a meet up time for the local byc folks. I will have my kids in tow. they will be excited to see the chickens and ducks but we won't last for hours on end there.
DANG Missy...STRESS. Glad everyone turned out alright :/

Hey it's not that far! Well depending on the weather. November is pretty iffy anyway and last year we had a massive storm hit the pass and then that fire!!! Ugh... it was not a good time to travel to Reno. You can come early and crash here! Oh poo. I forgot you have retail businesses to run.Wow Aubrey, I can't believe it was last year when you showed your chicken for the first time. Some big changes in the last year! You're almost an old married lady!
Missy, I know it was an expensive trip to the vet but I hate to think how you'd feel if you would have lost one of them. I have to laugh at your dream. If I ever do alot of the same thing like you have canning, I dream about things like that too.
Wish I was close enough to go and wear a matching shirt....
Ya? How cool! Will you be showing those gorgeous polish?I`ll be showing...

Uh oh, be careful of that tongue someone might just grab it and pull it out and then they will step on it. Or something like that. My dad would tell me and my sisters if we stuck our tongues.Of course!![]()
It is Missy. We just need to change her hair to blonde and it's done!Missy, thought of you instantly when I saw this!
