Nevadans?

Oh my goodness Kim, you better run from that thing there. I think it's going to attack everyone in the house. Run I tell ya, RUN!

I'm not a cat lover, I much prefer dogs too but that cat is cute.

Aw that's sad Kim :( cats cans be trained to go potty outside if given access. People just don't try to understand cats the way they do dogs. Dogs bite when they are not comfortable but we learn their signs quickly. Cats get coddled and smoothed and bothered and when they scratch its the end of the world. I personally don't see any difference between dog hair and cat hair. Cats have all different kinds of fur just like dogs. Cats also have a very hard time assimilating into a new home just like dogs and I think it's sad that people find them more dispensable than dogs. Feral cat situations in this country are horrible because people just don't take proper care. A domestic cat can be just as amazing as a domestic dog. Just makes me sad when people say they hate all cats. People just don't understand cats. You shouldn't force tour self to be around it if you dislike cat hair and animals climbing on the furniture. It's natural instinct for a cat to be up high and climb things and a cat destined to a floor is gonna be a very unhappy cat. It's gonna act out and do things that make you hate it. That's how it works. It is not a dog and can't be treated like one like people seem to think

Well, you just did it so I'm sure you recall......... you hit all the CA sites with it. I know it's not just a CA concern (although it is right now) but you don't normally post on those threads since you live in NV but you posted the same exact info regarding a CA issue that you want people to vote for on a couple different BYC, CA sites. Thought that was kind of random since you're not a regular on those threads. I don't think I've ever seen you post there as a matter of fact so when someone pops in and just posts something political and then asks for content about ghosts to be removed from another thread, well, I just say "hhhh?"

I'd say your random, political posts were of more concern then any stories about peoples experience with the spirit world.

I used to always have cats. I need one in this area for mice due to the alley and all the junk, so he'll have a job. I even used to show some of my cats, but my allergies, changed that. I really wasn't into them at school at Davis though, because my goal was to work with large animals and great big cats. I even owned an Ocelot once and a couple of other wild breeds, but I kind of grew up and stopped.

Those suckers shred and eat everything.

This little guy walked out the front door when I opened it to came in and I had to grab him up. His momma and another sibling are still out there some place and I don't want them teasing him about his sissy collar with the little bell. I really don't care much for cats. I'm also allergic to them, but we have lots of feral cats, like his mother around and some of these toms can be brutal when they catch kittens. We've had litter after litter born under our house and spent 2 hours trying to stop a tom from killing a litter. It was horrible and the screaming came up through the floors. We could hear the momma trying to fight him off and kittens just being tortured. The one I caught and took next door was so mean! This one has been pretty mellow, so at least my daughter grabbed the nice one. There's one more kitten to catch, but I hope my neighbor finds it first. She's found homes for them and we're also trying to catch moma and have her fixed. There are just so many feral cats around here. Like the orange ones. I thought I was taking care of one and I was taking care of 4! Those orange cats are from the 4 that killed my chicks, but one showed up so skinny and with the flesh showing all down one front leg. I made sure it had food and water, but didn't touch it. Then I noticed it was missing an eye and that it was walking better and the fur had grown back. Ended up being 2 different cats. The fur did grow back on the one who had the injured leg, but it can't really use the leg. The other 2 are huge and one thinks my CAR is there for it to sleep on. I've got to figure out a way to keep it off, cause I can't aford a paint job for that thing. I paid enough when I got rear ended. Took me over a year to pay to get my bumer fixed and painted. YIPES! I have my car washed and that cat has prints all over it within an hour.

My dogs are not allowed on the furniture. They know better. They have matts when they come inside and this house is so tiny, there's barely room for us, let alone them, so they prefer the outdoors where they can move. I've trained dogs for too many years and I like being in charge. This thing???? It just walks around like it owns the place. I've trained cats and had some good ones. My problem is the people here that need to listen when I'm working on training. Takes me longer with a cat. I'm old and grumpy, so it will probably take longer. They just need to understand that I have rules and the cat is going to have to learn them. Dakotah isn't a cat fan and no longer a chicken fan, but even as he's saying "mom, we aren't really keeping a cat are we?" He's scooping it up and carrying it around. It gets a cat tree, but no touching my furniture. I'll make windowsill room for it to lay, but that's as good as it gets. He has a kiddy chair that he's allowed on and sleeping on it right now.

As for me, I have to stock up on Anise, because it just hit me why I'm feeling even worse than I have been feeling. Eyes are watery, I can't breath and when I do it feels like I'm breathing in dust, so dander and this kitten is very clean. I'm even starting to cough, so I need to take something before my troat starts getting scratchy.

Sheryl, you're right. He's a terror! But he is cute. Don't tell anyone I said that!

haha, yes i am totally easy. I shoulda known you cant help it- youre an animal lover! MUAHA!

Funny you mention the training thing. I have to be the same way with Elvis because he is a very give-you-an-inch-take-a-mile kind of dog who needs firm structure. Poeple would come over and screw up my whole program so i finally just had to put a note on my door asking poeple to just pretend like there is no dog in the room.

BTW that kitten is HECKA CUTE!!!! I WANNA SHMOOSH HIM! (see! theres that shmooshing thing i was talking about!)

COOL! I'll send him/her to you! I'm so blind, I think it's a male, but I could be wrong. I know the one that tore me up was a female, but this one.......OK he has colorings in that area, that throw me off. LOL I'm pretty sure it's a male though.

I want to name him Terror, but Makayla thinks that that means Tear as in tear up things. I'm trying to exlain. I figure with a name like that, he'll be the opposite. Like my neighbor's Beagle. She's got this sweet face and her name is Lady, but she will kill anything, so my neighbor said, she should have named her Killer. She got a few of my birds in the beginning when they'd fly over into their yard. Nothing I can complain about if they are on their side.
