Never Leave a Delaware Youngster Bored and Unsupervised , LOL

I have two different baby monitors. One is made as a baby monitor, the other is made by Radio Shack and we found it for $2 at a flea market. Each has a range of about 100'. One coop is 70 ft or so from the house and the other is about 60'. They work fine, but when the roosters start crowing, DH often jumps out of bed to turn them down, LOL. You get used to the sounds, though.
My coops do have electricity and the transmitters must be plugged in. Guess you could get one that just used batteries.

No, Kat, I haven't said that yet, LOL

hrm . . . the coops aren't that far from the house . . . . I wonder if I got a heavy duty extension cord and ran it thru pvc piping from the porch to the coop if that would keep water out and provide electricity . . . . . .

And LOL about poor DH and the crowing hehehe

That's funny Cyn! They almost sound as bad as a puppy.

Yep, that'd work. It's now my original coop is wired with PVC pipe buried like that. DH wired it into the outlet that is in our stand-up crawlspace, then ran the cord through PVC all the way to the coop and up through the floor and wall to the outlet inside the coop. There are two outlets in the main coop, one in the Blue Orp and one in the Delaware coop.

They haven't constructed a bomb to open the gate so they can run free. The feeder is still in place and the roosts are still together, so they are behaving temporarily. I still haven't sold the pair I listed last week, so check them out here:

I wish it would stop raining! These kids need to be outside to work off energy, LOL!
