I don't.

My quail are spastic and get freaked out over every little thing, so I try to keep their interactions to a minimum to keep them calm. I keep them in a rabbit cage and just reach in to feed/water when they're low. They're excellent flyers and will fly fast and far if let loose. Their eggs are tiny and my chickens think those eggs are lovely snacks if they can get hold of them.

I keep my chickens in a barn and walk right in the pen with them and they come to see me and tug on my clothes and make it so I can hardly walk when I'm in there. They don't fly well or wander far and always roost at home. Quail would freak if I walked in and fly everywhere and probably knock themselves silly or get loose.

I also feed different diets to the chickens and quail.
