if i can find my camera I will take a pic to share with you. I got a male coturnix yesterday. Woo hoo. My first quail (of my own)!

The lady I got him from was super great, and when i saw out her back door, guess what I saw?? A yard of chickens, happily pecking away at weeds and tasty little bits on the ground. I was so excited, she had Murray Mc Murray babies, and I was just so excited to see a kindred spirit here in my general area, within blocks from me! I can't tell ya how giddy i felt, but tried to play it cool...didn't wanna scare off a potential chicken comraderie!!

Here he is...

here's the quail house (its on the rabbit hutch for now while I move some stuff around. I am working on painting it. It will be white when i am done) It's almost 5 ft long in total, the inside part is around 2 ft the big part is around 3, and it's almost 2 ft deep. I have really short arms, I have to be able to reach the back of it.
