Glad she's doing better. I, too, have learned from experience that chickens can't see well at all after dusk. So if one gets distracted by something interesting and is out too late, it's very difficult to find its way back to the henhouse. Usually, it takes only one scary experience of being alone all night in the great outdoors to get them to be more conscientious about getting to bed on time.
