So my bigger one is now bleeding which is odd as I feel she is the one that started it and so I let them out to eat for a bit to give them a break and the bigger one is constantly trying to pick a fight with my little one... For the first time the little one is now following me around.... They seem to be ok now u have been watching them for over an HR but it still scares me as I'm so new to this and don't want to loose any chickens.
Hi, it's nice to have you here!
Some one is always going to be in charge, it's the pecking order of things. As long as there isn't any blood being drawn, the flock will work things out on their own.
Best wishes!
How much space do they have?So my bigger one is now bleeding which is odd as I feel she is the one that started it and so I let them out to eat for a bit to give them a break and the bigger one is constantly trying to pick a fight with my little one... When pullets reach POL the hormones are flying and they get testy. Everyone needs to have space to escape a higher up, places to hide, places to perch. Pictures of your setup will help.
