I only ensure that the beak gets out of the membrane to prevent a dry membrane from sticking to the nostrils and causing suffocation. I've lost a lot to that because the humidity where I live fluctuates wildly. The reason why I mention it rolling around is because a goose with its long neck gets disoriented if handled too much or rolls around too much or if its turned too close to hatch date. I've also lost them to being positioned in the wrong end. Thats no fun either.
