New babies coming!

We finished our pen and ordered 8 ladies and 2 gentlemen Khaki Campbell ducks. Ducks were born yesterday and shipped.. USPS says delivery for Thursday. This has me concerned since I was hoping Wednesday/tomorrow latest. Any suggestions on how to make their arrival more settling after their long trip? Thanks in advance for any tips! We have raised 2 groups of mallards, but they were more than 2-3 days old when we brought them home.

Thursday is a long ways off. Chicks usually only last about three days without food or water. Who did you buy them from? Did they put Save-a-Chick in the box?

Metzer's in California...I am not sure about the box, but they did tell me they were shipped cup/container of something (can't remember name). The tracking from PO says Thursday. But website for Metzer states that sometime PO overestimates time of arrival. I am ready if they come today and hoping it is overestimated and they arrive tomorrow at latest. And I agree Thursday is a long way off for my preference. I could have ordered through local Tractor supply but wanted them sexed.... thus distributor.

It can be hard to wait, but you will just have to hold out hope that they are overestimating the time.
