I have a RIR who went broody on me a while back and I decided to just let her be. Well, before I knew it I lost track of which eggs to take, so I marked all EIGHTEEN!

Good grief man!

Although I only saw one this morning. Little thing full of spunk and courage came running out from under mama to meet me. Can't seem to keep it out of the water though, and it's pretty cold here. Added some new grass and leaf clippings to my Sunshine's nest. This is only my first year raising chickens, and I really didn't expect to have babies this year, especially going into late fall, but blessing they are indeed!

A couple pics are blurry. Fast lil bugger! Just wanted to share! I love my chickens!

Hi yall, I got 11 RIR and 1 "rare" chick yesterday. They are soooooo cute!!! I may be crazy, but I think the pecking order is already taking place. One is so feisty, and runs after the others and pecks. Just can't get enough!!! They are mesmerizing and funny to watch.

PS: I love your roo!

I'm swooning! I had two BR roos a few years ago and they were so friendly to me. I eventually had to rehome them, though. No roos in the neighborhood.

Anyway, sorry to get sidetracked. Congrats on that little fluffball!
