I wish our feed store had duckling tubs. *frown with envy*

It's SO HARD not to grab some whenever you see those tubs full! I always think "I should get some so they don't end up in a horrible home'! haha, I guess that's just my excuse. I have rescued ducks and chickens from neglectful homes, and I hate seeing all those little babies that I know could end up in one of those places. I know there are people out there who care very much for their little fluffy butts, but having those tubs full make others think they should get some for fun. Then they realize how much work they are, how much they eat once they start growing, and how messy they are. Then they decide they aren't quite so cute once they are grown!
Anyways, my point is that I always have to "rescue" some of those "tub babies", that way I know they end up in a safe and loving home![]()

Remember what I said yesterday or I will have to come steal them from you!![]()
My feed stores never have ducks either. But I see them all the time in pet stores nowI feel bad for those ones especially since most of the people that buy those have no idea what they are doing and just think they are cute and get only 1.
Our feed store makes sure nobody takes just one baby. When I was there last year getting some, there was a lady, and her son there getting 1 baby, and the owner said "get 2 or more please". that made me happy.
Yeah but the thing with pet stores is they have no idea what they are doing and just know they sell which makes them money so they do not care. They do not even care if they are sick. Last time I went to one they had a duckling seperated because they said it was sick. It had wry and I told them that and how to treat it because they would not let me buy it. I went back a week later and it was dead because no one did anything. They were not sure so they did not do anything to it. That was their exact words. Havent been to a pet shop since...
I would have offered them more money then they were selling it for. Maybe they would have sold it then...
