Lock down i didn't candle i was too busy had to go down town so i just added water and closed all vents but one humidity 72% three more days to wait

I will NEVER recommend going into lock down early "just because". Today though, my chicken mama gut proved me right. I hooked up the 2nd bator, got the temps right/humidity to 70%, moved the eggs over and now I have EIGHT wigglers !!!!!! Three of them are not from the "advanced" ones. Talk about excited !!! Can't wait to see a pretty little crack taking place.

The reason only 70% ... my bator has no fan. I'm using a regular floor fan, facing the holes. There is air flow. Wonder if this made a difference as well with an early lock down?

Because tomorrow is suppose to be the official lock down, I'm scrambling today to get everything in order. Off to Tractor Supply for bedding.

Ut Ohhhh... Bator got up to 104!... now down to 95! Aghhhhhh....

I am having trouble with temp swings too. I think my highest was 102 if you trust my digital and the lowest was 93. I have it back up to 99 now. I am hoping it holds steady for us both. Especially since we are so close to the end!!

I use to live in New Bern. Anyway we kind of live in the same general weather area so maybe the weather we have had in the last two days is our problem?
