I would have taken him out too, especially if there were no other pips or zips

That makes me feel better. He was more than 24 hours early, so I didn't want him disturbing the others and/or harming them! We do have one other one that has now pipped. Depending on how they are, I'll try to leave them in. Although, a part of me wants to take them out so the other one has some company. Obviously I'd leave them in until s/he is dry.

OMG I have a baby! Not even the one who was piping first!

and 4 more are starting to pip! So hard not to open the bator! But I'm still being good!

And another baby is out!

And its all yellow....first one out of all the the babies I have that is solid yellow! He mom was a buff Cochin so I would say she will look like her mom! Her mom was one that the coyotes got 2 weeks ago! So much fun and now there are about 6 piping! This is only day 20!

Mine ended up being about 18-hr early, not sure why, guess they were in a rush lol I got my first solid yellow chick too! S/he is a frizzle I have 4 frizzles and 3 silkies.

My hatch is over for this set, I have another set due tmrw so we start all over. I got 90% hatch rate with 100% fertility on SHIPPED EGGS

. I lost one baby to drowning, he pipped mid-egg, turned and suffocated he was a silkie.

I have four pipped and one zipping! Hoping s/he is out before we go to bed. If not, we'll have a really sweet surprise in the morning like this morning.

Ok. Here is Boomer! This was not long after he came out of the 'bator. He's now "happy" in his brooder awaiting his peeping, pipping, and zipping brothers and sisters!
