New bator idea?

I got out the rags, and put a little elbow grease into it last night. Its amazing how dirty a cooler gets when its just sitting around.. Some of the marks and grunge would not come off of it so there will be some marks on it.. but I don't think the eggs and chicks will care. (the marks are on the outside of the cooler). Hopefully I will have the time this week to tinker with it. I was thinking, and on my current incubator, I am using a dismanteled aquarium heater for the thermostat.. (Just the stat, not using the same element the fish tank heater had in it).. It is basically a wafer type thermostat,... but adjustable.. So, the metal bends to make contact with the heat, so the voltage doesn't play into the operation of the switch... so, I have another one in the shop.. If I go this route for a thermostat, I have everything on hand to put this one together... and if the power ever goes out, All I have to do is take it outside to my car and plug it in.. I will take some pics of the entire process.. I'm sure its hard to picture all the aquaium heater stat stuff without pic's..
