Actually every color variety & feather pattern can come in pied because white is incompletely dominant. Pure whites can be either homozygous for white (pure yellow ducklings) or heterozygously white (black cap & speckles which come in as black feathers as juveniles but almost always molt out with the first adult molt). Pied birds are, explained to me by a gentleman who is quite knowledgeable about genetics, white birds with haphazard color due to the incompletely dominant nature of the gene. I don't like being that nit-picky so I simply say that any bird that has color, plus white, is pied, period. They can be pied white heads (IMO) or a solid colored white head. White head is a separate and easily identifiable gene beyond the pied aspect. I can't say with 100% certainty, but I believe that every time you breed a colored bird to a white bird you're going to get a pied offspring.
