Cool I could add an extension to that to make it hold more.....

off to look up baby pig feeders.

Thanks I have been looking for those feeders. just to let you know though for 3 birds it only last 1 day. I have to fill my up every day. for a trio of Bantam Cochins. Unless my birds are just pigs LOL

Today it's DONE! Woohoo.... Birds moved in this evening....felt kinda guilty cause it kinda freaked some of them out being in a new place...even though they're just 20 feet from the regular coop. lol

Made nest boxes and put them in and put up the gutter, got everything squared away.... Now I only have 49,999 projects left on the to-do list.

The public enjoyed an open house with complimentary snacks as finishing touches were made...lol... Somebody even tried out the nests and laid an egg.

Yes, it did rain off and on throughout.

And now that it's done, while it's one thing off the list, I feel like I have just as many more things that need done.....lol....ugh....

I've got 4-quart rubber pans for water.

Ah. Wow that is a lot of work. Probably one of those check marks to run a water line out there....

I am on a well that is a low producer. The tank that runs water to the animals is on the same level so the pressure is just a tinkle.... ahem....

I wound up running hoses off a splitter to my coop, goats, and horse from one fawcet. Its amazing that that one line with no pressure can keep them all watered And I have a 110 gallon tank for the horse. Every one is on one of those float valves you can buy at the feed store and attach to containers with screws. I have automatic Dog waterers too. Of course here it gets very hot and dry in the summer 100-110 on hot days so I cant allow them to go without a drop of water especially during the day.

Water line to them is not on the list actually.....lol They're close enough to the outdoor water spigot that a hose can reach down there if need be. I'll probably just carry water in a bucket mostly though.

Now speaking of hoses, getting a new hose is on the list, because the one we have is shot. lol

Looks wonderful!

If you don't mind I might have to use this design in the costruction of my new coop?

I've been looking at many, but this one seems the best design for the runs I'm going to be needing. Terrific job! Your girls and boys are going to love it once they settle in, although they look like they are already pretty inthusiastic, lol!

Do the uncovered nest boxes work for you? I know hens can be pretty uncreative about laying, but my understanding is that they prefer dark and enclosed spaces for their clutches. And if you're planning on using it as a breeding pen, you may be faced with trying to coax a broody mama into accepting a new nest.
