wingstone, thanks for the details, they are very helpful in trying to reproduce and fix the problem, especially when there are hundreds of other members that aren't seeing the problem.

I've escalated this to the engineers to take a look at the missing "My computer" button.

If anybody else is having this specific problem, or other problems, please reply will as much detail as possible including:

• What were the exact steps you took before having the problem? Please be as specific as possible with the steps you went through so we can do exactly what you did.
• Which browser and version are you using (eg., Firefox 3.5.9, Internet Explorer 7, etc.)
• Have you logged out, left BYC, deleted your internet cache / browser history of files, logged back in, and tried again?
• Have you tried a different browser (we suggest Firefox or Chrome)?

I am not thrilled with this new uploader.

There is no option to save the image to your default album, the pictures come up in a new page instead of a pop-up type scenario and you can not get the larger pictures to 'pop-up' on the BSA area now.

Browsers: The new uploaded works from PC's on safari and chrome just fine (strongly suggest people stay away from IE and even Firefox now a days too buggy).

It does lack the option to save to your own folder, which makes you have to upload the image again to save to your own saved folders.

Strongly reccomend all users to watermark their pictures before sharing online, it reduces photo theft. Some take images not knowing you can't just legally use someone else's picture, some do it on porpoise.


Ipads: It does not work for those of us using iPads though. Still having to self host photos and copy url's into posts.

Great point regarding saving to albums! That's a temporary bug that will be resolved in one of the next updates soon.

Images shouldn't be popping up in a new page or tab, but they should be loading in the same page in a "lightbox" / "modal" on the same tab. I've escalated that to the engineers to take a loot at.

i hate it. It doesn't work for me at all, I hate the disclaimer too, why should I have to do that when i already filed a disclaimer. I can't see my gallery and it doesn't work at all. Be specific, no, not into computors and all the jargon that goes it it. Not friendly at all. At least the old system allowed you to browse what you wanted.

I am having the same problem too, and what is most frustrating is that I keep getting asked what steps am I taking?....I repeatedly said I did everything that was mentioned in the first post, even twice, and somehow, this problem is my fault because of my settings?...I am sure I am not the only one having this problem..........................................................chrisf

I'm not having trouble using the new 'directly into post button' ('insert image')

I'm having trouble DL into my gallery, the upload there is not working, I wanted the pictures there then in my post.

It does seem to start to DL the photos before you have chosen any sizes or checked the box...

I'm using win vista on a laptop and firefox whatever the one that just DL is... hang on... 14.0.1

did I miss that my gallery is temp offline?

I AM able to browse with the 'insert image'
the upload time is faster-

good job, just I need my gallery back too-

(about 3 min on wierless pre-n DSL via router/modem) -
