With our kids grown, we became empty nesters, so what's more natural than starting to raise chicks? (Groan) My husband is building a poultry palace he designed, and since I already bought the chicks (7 now 5 day olds of various coloring) he has added incentive to finish quickly. We're in Napa Valley, and predators are a big issue, so 1/2" wire surrounds everything. I love BYC - it's full of great info and extremely addictive!
