I’m raising a small flock of 6 hens, two turned out to be cockerels so I am finding them a new home.To set the balance of six chickens once they are gone I just purchased two golden sex links from some local Amish in my area, aged anywhere from 18-21 weeks of age. I notice that one (Wynona is her name) has a broken beak, was sold to me that way as I’ve had her about 12 hours and just now got a good look at her. I will post a picture of it also, is there anything I can do to help her or will it grow back to normal length? Will she be okay? No telling how long it’s been broken but she doesn’t seem like she’s missed any meals while the Amish owned her. I just don’t want to have her struggle or be in pain.

Some hatcheries will trim the beaks on the chicks to keep them from fighting, since they'll fight if badly crowded. That looks like the case here, though I suppose it's also possible that there was some sort of accident.
It won't regrow, no. She should be okay without the tip of her beak, though. Watch her when she eats- if she seems to eat carefully and be in pain, she may need to be fed soft foods, but hopefully she'll be all right.

Could very well be the case as I said I bought these two from some Amish, who had literally THOUSANDS on a trailer crammed into little tiny boxes of about fifteen per box so I can see that being the case with to much over crowding. Hopefully they will enjoy their new home much more than that. Thank you
