When it comes to broody hen, instead of incubating eggs can I allow my hens to sit and hatch their own babies? How does this process work assuming the hatch is successful do I remove them from the coop or keep the babies with mom separated from the rest? How do you know if they are fertilized? I just want info on the natural process if anyone has any tips or suggestions

Uh, so-

Yes you can.

Typically people leave the chicks with mom. If anything, you’d separate mom with the eggs prior to them hatching.

Not sure how to answer. If you crack an egg there is typically a “target” looking mark which would indicate fertilization. Don’t know if there is another method to check.

Your questions are fairly vague. There’s a lot of threads and articles with beginner info which may be where you should start.
