Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
It's a good thing you have building skills and that you love to build. Those chicks will want out of the brooder very soon. Good luck finding a coop design you like. If you happen to have access to an old shed, converting that into a coop is a good option.
 
With the breeds you've chosen, you will have a beautiful flock! It's amazing how quickly they grow -- I take photos of my chicks every Wednesday when I'm brooding so I can document how fast they grow up. Three-week-old chicks are so much more gangly looking than week olds (and I have the photos to prove it).
