im a new chicken owner and i received 2 barred rocks and 4 red star chickens however one of the red star chickens wings are curling upwards and seem thinner then the others. does any one know if this is commen with red stars i posted a picture below hope someone can tell me what is is or isnt
.

Hm I've never seen that before! It could be frizzled? Or maybe it's wings are just growing in weird and they'll straighten out later.

I hatched 3 Australorps that had curled wing tip about the same age. I thought they may be getting too close to the heat lamp. What ever caused mine, it went away as the birds grew. Now 6 weeks old and no sign of them for a couple of weeks.

If it's not frizzled, it should grow out.

we have a plymouth rock that looked the same way. Each time new feathers grew in she had less and less of them. She's 9 weeks now and her feathers still don't look as nice as our barred rock, but not curled any more.
