New chickens in flock

I put my new three hens with my existing flock and I have the 3 separated during the day away from the main flock. At night is when they get back together.

My concern is that it my 3 hens aren’t eating as much, their feed sack isn’t as full and feels quite empty.

Are they over stressed? I’m beginning to worry a bit.

Do you have multiple feeders, placed so that while one is eating at one bowl, it is hidden from someone eating at another feeder? That can help.

I agree, multiple feeders will provide more places so that everyone can get some food.

The new 3 hens are not together with the existing flock during the day and they do have there own food. My main flock is outside of the chicken run and the door is closed. The 3 hens are fairly young about 5 months old now

The 3 new ones? I raised them since they were chicks and I just started integrating them with my existing flock. The 3 are about 5 months old
