New chickens r they male or female

these are my new 4 chickens. I think they are about 4 - 5 months old and the guy said his mom said the two blackish ones ( wydotte mixes ) are roos but i think they would look like roos at that age bit i don't know ill post more pictures of them thank you

The bottom one is definitely a rooster, but as for the other one it is hard to tell from that angle. A side view would be helpful.

You might want to post pictures of your chickens on the What Breed Or Gender is this board for help. https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/15/what-breed-or-gender-is-this Looking at the picture you have, the one nearest the camera does look to have saddle and sickle feathers, so is a probably a roo, can't see the other one well enough.

the better the close-up and clearer the view (one chicken in a photo) the more likely someone can sex them accurately.

Ok thank you everybody for your inputs and i will try and post more better pics of them. I have a white one ( in between the black with white coloring an the brownish one is very mean so i called it bb and it has a big wattle, too). I think bb is a roo.

It turns out now that bb is a roo and we have another one but we cant see which one because its mysterious when we go up to see after one crowed. Its sad i have to get rid of the roos tho bcuz i love them. Sorry guys that i didnt post any pics bcuz im busy most of the time. thanks for your posts though it really has helped
