New chicks and one with a hurt leg

I checked her this morning and she was still hobbling around to eat and drink. She keeps that leg up near her belly still. I tried following some instructions to see if it was a slipped tendon but couldn't tell. I'm going to get some vitamins to add to the water today. If I can find some for chicks. I'm really hoping she heals!

You can also use PolyVisol baby vitamins without iron (2-3 drops per day orally,) or give a human BComplex tablet crushed into feed or dissolved in water until you get chick vitamins. Rooster Booster has Vitamins With Lactobacillus which is easy to add to water. Keep us updated on how she is doing.

Was it the Vitamins With Lacto, The Poultry Booster, or others? The Poultry Booster has to go in the food, and she might not get enough. If it is the Vits With Lacto, that is great. They also make Poultry Cell which is also good, and can be given 1 drop daily for her size.

This is the one I got. I will go ask the store

about poultry cell too!

I was happy to her out in the grass today with the other chicks. Yesterday she stayed with the food and water all day and later on the line shaving under the warmth. She still is still holding her leg up and I can see some swelling now. I don't know if she is getting better but I don't think she is getting worse.

She seem so to be putting her foot down the the ground more today. Not looking as much like a flamingo! Still lays down a lot. She is smaller then all the rest though. I have been watching her eat and drink so hopefully she starts growing more!
