New Chicks are they safe with old hens

I had 3 hens one went broody. She hatched 2 chickens yesterday, since they hatched I separated the 2 other hens from the mother hen and 2 chicks.

How long do I need to keep them separated from the other 2 laying hens before they chicks will be safe.

This is my first time hatching chicks. I have run 4 seasons worth of birds prior to this.

I am curious if the mother hen will keep them safe from the other 2. The mother hen is the lowest in the pecking order but, it seemed like she had support from the others while she was broody.
