The first U.S. tornado of 2026 was in Arizona. It touched down just outside of Tucson. Thankfully not near where we live, but a tornado that got too close to us a few years ago destroyed our first coop. It pulverized everything in our yard, destroyed our fence and took off part of our roof. No one has tornado shelters here.

Their beaks can be very sharp, my Dad recieved a bad nip (chunk actually) out of his thump while feeding a crow French fries.

-21C / -6F here. We're apparently back to regular weather after an unusually warm December.

It is kinda comforting to be back to "normal", but on the other hand it was quite relaxing to have above-freezing temps in winter; letting the ducks bathe every day, not having your nose-hairs freeze when you breathe, and so forth.
